Designing Your Blog

First, click on view blog and remove the "Blog Archive" by clicking on the tools icon in the bottom right of the "Blog Archive" area.  Save this change.

Click on "Design" in the top right and this will bring you to the design screen,  Here you can change the Settings, Layout -- NavBar and BlogPosts, and Template.

Change Settings --> edit the Privacy Settings --> remove add to our list and remove add to search list --> Save these changes.

Change Layout --> Click edit in NavBar --> you will need to turn off the NavBar once all the Design is done.  Save this change.  Until then, you will need these to work in the design area. Once turned off, students can manage the design through the Blog post or on their Blogger home screen.

Change Layout --> Click edit on BlogPosts --> now Remove checkmarks from the following:  your name, time, labels, sharing out, and locations. Add check mark to Quick Reactions (allows for quick comments without having to type).  Save the Layout Settings.

Change Template --> you can change the theme and how it looks on this screen.  Explore the options on the right to change the look of your theme.  STAY AWAY from Dynamic Themes as it does weird things to the layout. Again save or apply the changes to the blog.

Now to create "stuff" to add to our portfolio.

You can add documents, images, videos, charts, etc.  Check out my posts under each label.
